Krista is a fun-loving, kind-hearted, sassy kind of chick! Born to local surf royalty, she is known as one of the queens of the Jersey coast. Stylish and graceful on both land or a longboard, Krista has been inspiring young girls to surf since she was a little grom on the beach at the Manasquan Inlet. When you are around Krista, you can’t help but feel like, “everything is going to be okay!”

Where did you go to high school? Manasquan
Where did you go to college and what did you major in? Marymount Manhattan College. I graduated last year with a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology and a minor in Education.
Did you study abroad? Where did you go and why? I did not, but I traveled after graduating from Marymount. I spent a month backpacking through Europe and cannot wait to get back out there again!
What certifications do you have? CPR
How long have you been involved with SUMMERTIME? Since 2010!
Why do you work at SUMMERTIME? Sharing the stoke and smiling are two contagious attributes to surfing. Who wouldn’t want to be a part of that?
Besides working at STS, what else do you do to pay your bills? Therapy work, bartending, and waitressing
At what age did you start surfing? How many years ago was that? 10…so I’ve been surfing for 15 years
Where have you traveled to surf? I’ve traveled to California with the MHS Surf Team back in 2007 and I travel to Puerto Rico annually.
Do you surf in contests? What are some notable results? I love to surf in the Manasquan Classic Longboard Competition!
Other than surfing, do you have any talents? I enjoy playing music and singing. I also love to cook and enjoy art.
Are you an Artist or Musician? Yes! I love to draw and play xylophone.
What kind of music or art inspires you? All sorts of music and art. I am a fan of experimental music, rock, punk rock, electronic, classical, really everything but country. Also I love surrealism and symbolic art. I am a huge fan of street-art…banky is the best.
