SUMMERTIME is partnered with local municipalities to serve members of the community with financial aid needs. As a part of our responsibility to our communities, we provide scholarships directly to local residents of our hosting towns so that those who would otherwise be unable to participate in the experience are not left out.

Please help us by submitting a scholarship application ONLY if you meet ALL the following criteria:

  • You are experiencing financial hardship
  • You are a full time, year round resident of Belmar, Bradley Beach, Asbury Park, Point Pleasant]
  • Have not received a scholarship in a previous year
  • Your child must have a genuine interest in the program

Contact your municipality to inquire about scholarship availability

Going the extra mile

In addition to our scholarship partnerships with our hosting municipalities, we offer scholarships each spring through efforts that are directly aligned with our values.

  • Our annual Essay Contest was born in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, and has continued to inspire kids to use their skills in the classroom to earn a SUMMERTIME experience.
  • We offer additional scholarships through our community network in Asbury Park to deserving kids, with our partnership with @BOYSANDGIRLSCLUB & @TIKIGROUP, @BBBS, and each year we help subsidize the cost of programming with @SURF HAPPENS, a standout surf school of California. Some community members also support additional scholarships in Asbury Park to allow us to offer even more. Please reach out to us directly if you are interested in providing opportunities for kids.
  • Keep an eye on the blog for details and other opportunities!

Year after year, SUMMERTIME awards a significant number of scholarship to charity gift auctions. Over the past 10 years, we have identified several “perennial” events that receive a the majority of these contributions each year.

We allocate extras each year, but we receive more and more requests each year which makes it impossible to accommodate every request. In 2013, we came up with a creative solution to make the process as fair as possible. We draw from a hat and make contributions twice per year, on June 15th (for summer and fall events) and November 15th. (for holiday and winter events).

Please fill out THIS FORM in order to make a request.
