Kids Surf Club Sessions

“Next-Step” programming for intermediate students ages 7-16. This 1hr and 30min guided surf session is for experienced young surfers looking to progress their skills in a more independent setting. Perfect for kids who have mastered the basics and have begun to try to catch waves on their own. This Club is the “next-step” between Kids Camp and the competitive Grom Team.

- Available to intermediate students AGES 7-16
- Offered at Asbury Park & Point Pleasant
- Weekends ONLY
- 1 hour and 30 minutes
- Surfboards & wetsuits included
- Student to instructor ratio: 5:1
- In 2024 there will be no Surf Club in Belmar & Bradley Beach
- Join for 1 club session or save by upgrading to a 4 or 8 pack

The Kids Surf Club is open to intermediate students ages 7-16.

Many Surf Club participants have been recommended to the club sessions through their experience with Kids Surf Camp and/or Private Lessons.

- The Adult Surf Club is open to students 15 years and older who have been preselected for the club through beginner surf classes or private lessons.If this is your first time surfing with Summertime Surf, review the questions below to insure this class is the right fit for you.How to self identify yourself as an intermediate/advanced surfer:
  1. Can you independently paddle out and catch your own waves in clean conditions?
  2. Are interested in advancing specific skills?
  3. Do you know where to sit in the lineup to catch waves and you can stay in position even with a light to moderate current?
  4. Can you enter and exit the water on knee to stomach high days with ease?
  5. Have you demonstrated basic control of your surfboard while riding in the whitewater?

🏄 Beginner Soft Surfboard (if you have one)

Note: Fiberglass surfboards are not appropriate for Kids Surf Club. Surfers that show proficiency on a fiberglass are recommended to check out Grom Team.
